  Spirits and Other Beverages

  Gain exposure to the major white spirits (gin, vodka, eau de vies, grappa, tequila, sake) and the major brown spirits (scotch, whiskey, rye, rum, bourbon and brandies) of the world. Also consider beers, coffees, teas and waters as well as different types of cigars. Explore the various production methods and the general principles behind mixing drinks. Learn how to differentiate between quality products and how to taste spirits.

  Prerequisites: You must have completed HOST 9112 (Sensory Development and Wine Styles) .

  Fee: $609.00, includes wine used in class
