  Applied Payroll Management

Learn to represent the payroll department within an organization, aid in the development of strategies and take part in project management.

Note(s):

This course is equivalent to the Applied Payroll Management course offered by the Canadian Payroll Association (CPA). You must register in and pay for this course at George Brown and register with and pay a separate fee to the CPA. You must present proof of the CPA registration at the first class. The CPA fee is $300 (plus tax) for CPA members and $465 (plus tax) for non-members. You must also ensure that the CPA receives your payment at least two weeks prior to the course start date as you will only receive your course material once we have confirmation from the CPA that your applicable fees have been paid.


  Prerequisites: You must have completed FIN 9018 (Introduction to Payroll Management) and HRM 2024 (Compensation and Benefits Administration) and ACCT 2003 (Management Accounting I) and ACCT 2006 (Management Accounting II) and PSY 1149 (Organizational Behaviour) or approved equivalents.
