Acquire the knowledge and skills you need to become a professional makeup artist within the beauty, film and television industries. Along with preparing you for a career in any aspect of the makeup industry, the extended curriculum of this certificate also covers advanced techniques in special effects, including the creation and application of various prosthetic pieces for photography, stage, film and television (including high definition). Learn to work at the highest level of professionalism, and gain an understanding of the business side of the makeup industry. You will be required to purchase our professional makeup kit and our professional hairstyling kit in order to complete this certificate. The professional makeup kit includes all the professional makeup you will need (plus 25 professional makeup brushes and a brush roll) and costs approximately $1850 (plus tax). The professional hairstyling kit includes everything you need for FASH 9229 (Hairstyling for Makeup Artists) and costs approximately $350 (plus tax).

You must be proficient in both oral and written English.
